The biggest and most difficult task yet is to finish translating the Bible into every language on earth. We as YWAM have been given this task and need your help to complete it. YWAM OMT is a translation initiative where fluent native speakers orally translate Scripture into their local heart language through audio recordings.
Over 7000 dialects don't have the Bible or even the Gospel in their Heart Language! Of these people over 2.2 Billion haven't even heard the name of Jesus!!!
Our YWAM base is partnering with others around the world to help the Bible be translated orally into any and all languages. YOH's goal is to orally translate Scripture (starting with the books Luke, Acts, Genesis, and Ruth) for 39 registered Tribes across Oklahoma’s Indian Territories, carrying forward Loren Cunningham’s vision to see Native Americans transformed by God’s Word in their mother tongue. Our prayer is to become an OMT US training launchpad for the Nations.
It doesn't take much to translate the bible orally - actually, just a cell phone and the YWAM app can make it happen. We want to be a base that trains, equips, and then sends out young people to "Get the Job done!".
